In order  to popularize of extension innovation method, the first extension innovation  method core training class organized by Extension Engineering Society of  Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence was successfully held in  Shenzhen Virtual University Park on July 21, 2012. The training class was  undertaken by Shenzhen Soultao Network Technology Co., Ltd and co-organized by  Shenzhen Okast Automation Co., Ltd with 35 trainees, most of whom were general  managers of enterprises and mid-level and high-level management personnel.

Researcher Cai Wen, founder of Extenics, director of Extension Engineering  Committee of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence and honorary  director of Research Institute of Extenics and Innovation Methods of Guangdong  University of Technology, gave a lecture based on the textbook Creative  Thinking Makes You Smarter, one of the Extenics series. Researcher Cai Wen  illustrated basic theories and methods of extension innovation. Meanwhile Li  Xingsen, secretary-general of Extension Engineering Society of Chinese  Association for Artificial Intelligence and professor of Ningbo Institute of  Technology, Zhejiang University, was in charge of case study, asked trainees to  practice in class and answered questions faced by some enterprises. Trainees  said that Extenics played an apparent role in enterprises’ independent  innovation.

During the training class, trainees have been very interested in China’s original science--Extenics and have disscussedwith Researcher Cai Wen for many timesthat how to develop their creative thinking with extension innovation . Meanwhile, they have sponsored those scholars who have been perseveringly engaged in the Extenics research in recent three decades. Some enterprises’ general managers came to the first extension innovation method core training class with their own products and issues. According to his own experience of corporate operation in the past years and understanding of Extenics, Professor Li Xingsen provided the extension direction for some trainees and let them apply extension innovation method to find solutions to solve the problems. Trainees of Shenzhen Soultao Network Technology Co., Ltd developed new product design software based on extension method.In the course summary, researcher Cai Wen encouraged the trainees to grasp Extenics, apply it to corporate operation, improve their own innovation level, generate benefits for society and become the core in the construction of the new science and promotion of extension innovation method. It is the mission of each trainee. Researcher Cai Wen’s speech was full of expectations and has motivated every trainee. Several trainees offered their ideas and opinions for the application of Extenics which expanded ways of extension innovation method promotion.

The successful hosting of the first extension innovation method core training class has opened a new chapter for application, popularization and education of Extenics with the cooperation between Extenics and enterprises, trained a number of cores of extension innovation method, and accumulated precious experience for the promotion of Extenics in enterprises in future.
