Prof.  Florentin Smarandache, is a Professor of Mathematics of University of Mexico,  Gallup Campus, USA. He is a polymath: as author, co-author, translator,  co-translator, editor, or co-editor of 160 books and 200 scientific papers and  notes. Some of his books were translated to Chinese.

On May 18 of 2012, as the first group of national scholars in extension theory  and its application, he came to China to prepare for a research and cooperation  program for three months with the Research Institute of Extenics and Innovation  Methods, Guangdong University of Technology. On May 21, Prof. Florentin  Smarandache, Prof. Cai Wen, Prof. Yang Chunyan, Prof. Li Weihua and others,  held a heated discussion about the relationship between Extenics and  Mathematics, which made a strong impression on the audience.
