In the  past 20 years, Extenics has made a lot of achievements including establishing  extension theory system and extension innovation approach system, publishing  series of Extenics books, developing multiple fields of application research,  applying for patents and computer software copyrights, establishing the  professional Institute, and building the national secondary association. For  the time being, it has proclaimed its initial formation as a new science.

In  recent years, some international scholars successively participated in  extension study projects. In order to introduce Extenics overseas further, the  13th Extension Annual Meeting (held in Hangzhou, China, in August 2011)  determined to hold “The 1st International Symposium of Extenics & the 30th  Anniversary Celebration of Extenics (EXTENICS 2013)” in Beijing, in which  scholars can exchange international research of Extenics, plan the future  development of Extenics, prepare for organizing the Extenics International  Association, prepare for publishing International Journal of Extenics, let  Extenics move towards the world, and enter the science hall of the world!
