Over the past 30 years, the Extenics research team has been formed and developed from one individual to a group of scientific research team. They have undergone difficulties in developing Extenics with extension methods. At present, there are more and more scholars participating in Extenics research. An Extenics scientific community has formed.
Ø Established a national secondary society—Extenics Society of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence and organized a great number of Extenics researchers.
Ø Constructed Extenics research base--Research Institute of Extenics and Innovation Methods, Guangdong University of Technology.
Ø Founded Extenics Academic Committee, Youth Department, Propaganda Department and International Academic Exchange Department; organized “Extenics Series” Editorial Committee.
Ø Establish company of Promoting and applying Extenics in Guangzhou—Guangzhou Extenics Information Science and Technology Co.Ltd.
Ø Personnel training: In the form of Extenics research scholar, since 1993, recruited 19 sessions of domestic professors, associate professors and lecturers to the Research Institute of Extenics and Innovation Methods, Guangdong University of Technology to learn and study Extenics; fostered the domestic research elites of Extenics. Since 2012, recruited 5 sessions of international Extenics researchers. Held several phases of extension engineering workshop on China mainland and Taiwan; many universities train postgraduates studying Extenics and set up postgraduate Extenics courses and elective courses; a great number of young scholars have joined in the construction of Extenics team.
Ø Scholars participating in the Extenics study come from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Tianjin University, Harbin Institute of Technology, National University of Defense Technology, Tongji University, Jilin University, Waseda University of Japan,Taiwan Tamkang University, Taiwan Tatung University, Taiwan Da-Yeh University, New Mexico State University of America and Romanian Academy of Sciences, etc.
