The first meeting for the pre-World Alliance for Chinese Quality (WACQ) (全球華人品質聯盟(籌)) was organized by Hong KongSociety for Quality (HKSQ) in City University of Hong Kong on 7 July 2016 thatis one day before the first World Summit for Chinese Quality (WSCQ) (第一屆全球華人品質峰會).
In the beginning, Ms. Duan Yihong (段一泓) (Under Secretary, CAQ) gave a welcome speech and briefed the previousmeeting which was held in Beijing on 6 Nov 2015. And She introduced therepresentative of CAQ included Prof. Tang Xiaoqing (唐曉青) (Vice-President, CAQ), Ms. Wang(王麗林) and Mr.Wang (王海濤).
We booked a meeting design lecture room for the pre-World Alliance for ChineseQuality (WACQ) and representatives of CAQ, CSQ, HKSQ and SQI all together inthe morning.
Our chairman Mr. Peter Fung worked as MC for introducing each society.
Therepresentatives of CSQ included Prof. Ching-Chow Yang (楊錦洲), Mr. Xin-Yang Gao (高辛陽), Mr. Liu Li Tsung (劉黎宗) (President, CSQ) and Mr. Li (李逸湘), as well as, Prof. Dennis Tien(田墨忠).
There presentatives of SQI included Mr. Kenneth Liang (梁偉賢) and Mr. Too Meng Ken (杜明庚).
HKSQ executive committee members were also participated and they were Mr. Humphrey Lee,Mr. Ben Tsang (as well as, Dr. Aaron Tong & Dr. KS Chin & Ms. MindaChiang & I).
Dr.Catherine Chan (President, HKQFDA) was our guest to participate this meeting asobserver.
Then Ms.Duan started to discuss the details of WACQ including constitutions and rulessuch as role and responsibility of WACQ and founding organizations. Nominationprocess for each organization member was also discussed as well as membershiptype and fee.
After that we had a tea break.
We thanked Minda’s effort for arrange the 1stWSCQ and today’sarrangement.
Then I briefed the theme of the 1stWSCQ about Quality and Innovation basedon old Chinese wisdom.
Then we took a group photo for memory.

After lunch, we arranged an industry visit (Hong Kong Airline) for representatives.
We arranged a shuttle bus and started at 1:30pm.
I stayed in CityU for arranging two keynote speakers Prof. Can Wen (蔡文) (The Director of International Academy of Extenics (HK), The National Distinguished Experts of China) and Prof.Yang Chunyan (楊春燕) (Director, Institute of Extenics and Innovation Methods, GuangdongUniversity of Technology) to have a tea with Dr. KS Chin.
After that I received visit photos and shared as follows.

We had a dinner together after the day 1 activities.
Atthe end, all guests were pre-congratulation to my birthday (It was exactly onthe 1stWorld Summit for Chinese Quality tomorrow!)
