We held the 1stInternational Symposium on Extenics and Innovation Methods and the 30th Anniversary of the Foundation of Extenics with great delight and honor. With everybody’s great efforts, the symposium is fruitful. It showed the hard efforts of Extenics researchers for the 30 years. In the past few days, we have exchanged opinions of development of the research work of Extenics researchers both from home and abroad and discussed the future development of Extenics. The symposium has achieved a great success!

Extenics is a new subject which has founded only 30 years and is still not mature enough. A lot of theoretical issues need further exploration and a lot of application and extension work requiring carried out. The task of constructing the new subject is very difficult. In the future, Extenics will advance towards the direction of internationalization, socialization and networking, so we are bound to encounter more difficulties. However, we believe that Extenics researchers have the wisdom and capacity to keep moving towards the established goal to meet new brilliance!

The scholars of this symposium are from four continents. Though the time we shared together is not long, we have established close friendship based on the spirit of mutual respect and mutual learning. For the past few days, we studied hard, discussed seriously and demonstrated “extensive, rigorous, modest and honest” style of study. We are looking forward to meeting again in the next year! We believe that our friendship will be strengthened as the Extenics advances! Let us join hands to meet new challenges!
